2016 Table Quiz Breaks the Record!

A Record Attendance
Friday, Jan 29th 2016, was a night to remember for all the right reasons!  A record-breaking total of 40 quiz teams came to the CuChulainn to support the school and the huge attendance enjoyed a fantastic night of fun, socialising and quizzing. The occasion was the annual Patrickswell N.S. Table Quiz organised by our Parents' Association. Over 50 prizes for the Monster Raffle and the winning quiz teams were donated very generously by supporters of the school and local Patrickswell businesses. All teams received a list of sponsors and, in due course, the sponsors' names will be published in The Limerick Leader and in our School Yearbook (next June).

Thanks to Maureen, the P.A. Committee and Ann Ronan for doing a brilliant job on the organisation of the quiz. Thanks also to The CuChulainn Bar for hosting the event and to Ali Baba for sponsoring the food.

The community spirit in the 'Well is lgendary and, once again, it was abundantly in evidence at this year's Table Quiz. Well done to everybody who helped make the occasion such a positive and enjoyable experience for all who attended what was undoubtedly the biggest quiz in Limerick so far this year!

Here are a few questions from the quiz:
* Peppa Pig has a little brother, what's his name?
*When did Patrickswell 1st win the Co. Senior Hurling Championship?
*In what country did the Bolshevicks seize power in 1917?
*'Swish' & 'ANTI' are the titles of new releases from which multi-million selling recording artistes?
*Who is Country&Western singer Declan Nerney's famous (pop star) niece?

Quiz Winners
The winning score was a very fine total of 57 out of 64. The Manns finished first in the quiz. Three teams finished in joint 2nd place, just one point behind The Manns. After a series of play-off questions, The Murrays secured the runners-up prize. Overall, the scoring was fantastic; most teams had more than 70% of the questions correct! #Brainboxes!
