Well done to all the pupils who represented the school at the 2016 Limerick Primary Schools Athletics Finals in Plassey today. Our girls were the overall winners in their category! The boys were pipped at the post in their challenge for 1st place in their category. Thanks to all the teachers and parents who helped make our annual day out in the University of Limerick so enjoyable and successful!

The  2016 Olo Cup final will be played on Friday next, May 20th, at the Gaelic Grounds.

Patrickswell through to 2016 Olo Cup Final!

Patrickswell N.S. Olo Cup team, 2016

Patrickswell N.S. won their place in the 2016 Olo Cup final following a thrilling 3-3 to 2-4 victory over the boys of Scoil Chríost Rí (Caherdavin). The match, which supporters of both teams agreed was an 'epic,' was played at Old Christians GAA Grounds in  Rathbane today. The referee was County Board PRO, Eamon Phelan.
The Olo Cup final will be played in the Gaelic Grounds next Friday. Patrickswell will play the winners of the second semi-final (Milford NS v Monaleen NS).

Philly's Tree is Blooming!

Mrs. Philly's Tree!

The cherry blossom tree we planted in honour of Mrs O Brien, a dear friend of Patrickswell N.S. (ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam), is blooming! Our photo was taken on May 9th, 2016. For more than two weeks, the blossoms have been holding tough against gentle breezes, sudden gusts and strong winds. 'Mrs. Philly', as she was fondly known to pupils in the school, was a keen gardener and loved to see plants thriving and flowers blooming. This beautiful tree will honour her memory, friendship and hard work in the school for many, many years to come.

Some friends of Patrickswell N.S. have kindly agreed to take a stall at this event and donate the proceeds of their sales to our school.

So, what we need now are suitable goods to sell at the Baby Market...
