Cinema Treat!

For the past few years, a trip to the cinema has been organised for the pupils during the week leading up to the Christmas Holidays. This is a nice treat for pupils who have been working hard performing in Nativity Plays and preparing for Christmas Tests, and so forth.
The cost of the trip is €10 (including bus fees). The trip will take place during school hours. The date for this much anticipated event is: December 19^th (Wednesday next). The film we will be going to see is, “Rise of the Guardians”. This is an animated movie with a Christmas theme.  (This is a private showing of the movie for Patrickswell NS pupils only)..

Please let us know if your son/daughter will be attending the show, by completing the bottom portion of this note and returning it to the Class Teacher. (Please return this form a.s.a.p. Payment of the €10 may be made at any time between now and next Wednesday).

Please note that the water supply to the school will be cut off for five hours on Monday, December 10^th. This is due to waterworks corrections being carried out by Limerick County Council in the area. The school will close at 1.00 p.m. on this date.

The Children of Lir

Well done to Ms Gallagher and the children of Fifth Class who performed a short play entitled, The Chldren of Lir in the school for pupils and parents last week.  They will perform the play once more on Thursday evening, November 15th, on the stage in Patrickswell GAA Clubhouse.  If you haven't seen the play yet ... this is your last chance!

The annual Church Gate Collection for the school, organised by the Parents' Association, will take place at this weekend's masses in Patrickswell (November 10th & 11th). Please support!

Text-a-Parent

Our new text messaging service is now up and running.  Please contact the School Office if your family did not receive a text message from the school before the mid-term break.  In order to minimise costs, messages are sent to one mobile phone number per family.  Remember to let us know if you would prefer messages to be sent to a different mobile phone number.

Mid Term Break

Patrickswell N.S. will be closed from Monday, October 29th to Friday, November 2nd for the mid-term break.  Happy Halloween!

Bob-a-Job

The week before the mid-term break is 'bob-a-job' week.  The Parents' Association invites all pupils to do 5 extra chores for cash this week to earn money for school activities ...AND to earn the right to come to school in fancy dress on Friday, October 26th, the date the annual Halloween Parade takes place in the school.
