The Under 11 hurlers played their first match of the season yesterday. Played in blustery conditions on heavy ground at Páirc Antóin O Broin, Patrickswell defeated St. Nessan's NS by 2-4 to 0-2. At half time, the Mungret boys were one point ahead but Patrickswell made good use of the wind in the second half and went ahead through scores by J. Byrnes (2-0), J. Kirby (0-2) and J. Gorman (0-2).
